Our Company History

 

Lemke Stone, Inc. a family owned company, was founded in 1965 by Arnold A. Lemke. Arnold and his sons, Mark and Kim have dedicated their efforts to provide a higher level of quality and personal service to all of their customers.

Arnold has spent a life time working with stone. As a young man he worked for his father's stone business and for another local stone company.

In 1965 Arnold started his own stone business specializing in fieldstone. With a lot of hard work and dedication, Arnold built his company with a reputation of the highest quality of cobblestone, boulders and split fieldstone.

As the company grew, his wife and two sons, Kim and Mark, joined the company. The company has expanded to manufacturing sawed and cut Lannon and Bedford stone as well as quarrying a variety of other stone products. They now have 25 employees who have over 120 years combined experience.  Kim and Mark continue the "hands on" approach and are intimately involved in the day to day operations.

Arnold's youngest daughter, Jane, is responsible for all of the bookkeeping. The next generation of Lemke sons have also joined the company to carry on this family tradition.

Our goal at Lemke stone continues to focus on quality stone products and personalized service just as Arnold established 35 years ago.
